With its 2016 Silverado 1500, Chevrolet has staked its claim once again as king of the hill. The 2016 Silverado boasts a refined level of comfort, sophistication and brute force not found in trucks from Ford and Ram, specifically in the all-aluminum range of engines, where Chevy has laid claim to the most fuel-efficient V8 found in a full-size truck. In fact, at 23 mpg on the highway, the 5.3L unit provides a better return than the turbocharged V6 employed in the Ford F-150. This model sets itself apart with extensive features and options, best fuel economy of any V8 pickup, best-in-class tow ratings, and Improved interior with added comfort and convenience

  • Best truck ever

Best driving truck I tested (Ford and Ram). Seats are comfortable, steering gives great feedback, and shocks smooth out the bumpiest road. Towed a 6000 pound trailer easily without swaying or boogieing down the engine. Averaging 22.6 miles per gallon drive around a small country town. Capless tank makes it easy to fill up in the winter when necessary.
  • nice but defects

DIC goes bad right away, Chev refuses to fix defect. This is a DEFECT in Design and materials. I'm sure Airline Pilots and Ship Captains would agree "Works as designed" for their gauges that go dim and then black when on a 120 degree Tarmack, or heavy weather. Pilots love when their gauges go black for wind speed, altitude, and flaps; Chevy just says that's a feature, NOT a defect. Yeah right!
  • Defective compressor & condenser

Overall great vehicle but has inherent problems with 2015 similar models that use 5.3L dealing with ac compressor and condenser which are expensive to repair
